There are some scripture passages I think need to be read frequently. Carl mentioned the Ten Commandments in his message this morning. Frequently I repeat the Lord’s prayer and stop along the way to pray in the spirit. Of course, there is the wonderful comfort of the 23rd Psalm. You already know from my recent postings that Psalm 91 is a long time favorite (“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High . . .) And then there is Psalm 100! By the time I wrote the last line in my notebook, I was doing what the first line commands.

“Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.”
